Bryce and Zion Itinerary

Whether you are doing planning to do the Mighty Five tour or are taking advantage of the greater Zion area, including Bryce in your plans while exploring southern Utah is a must.

We have designed this Bryce and Zion itinerary based on four days, including travel.

Day 1: Arrival from Vegas to Springdale (Zion)
Early afternoon arrival, lunch at Cafe Solei. Meet at Zion Guide Hub for an afternoon, half-day Zion Scenic Hiking Tour.

For this tour, you hike into Zion Canyon and explore some of the moderate/easy hikes. This tour gives you an opportunity to be acquainted with the park, how it works and how to efficiently explore. This tour also provides an interpretive experience from the guide so you can learn the history and geology of the park.

Enjoy dinner at the local watering hole, the Bit & Spur.

Day 2: Zion
Early morning wake up, stop by Deep Creek Coffee Company for your favorite morning caffeinated beverage, and then meet at Zion Guide Hub for a full-day Zion Narrows Tour.

For this tour, you will ride the Zion Canyon shuttle bus to the Temple of Siewava trailhead. Your expert, a safety-certified guide will spend the day sharing the details of how the Narrows was formed, what we can do to help keep it in optimal condition and the best route to take to keep from getting completely soaked. The Narrows is one of the top 10 scenic hikes in the world and offers a unique experience of using the river as the trail. Full disclosure, this hike does not require a guide and can be self-guided however if you prioritize education, added safety, and connecting with a local, we recommend a guided tour.

Enjoy dinner at a local favorite, Whiptail Grill.

Day 3: Travel day from Zion to Bryce
Enjoy a morning coffee on your way to meet at Zion Guide Hub for a half-day Zion National Park Canyoneering tour. You will follow your guide through the east side of Zion National Park as you travel north to Bryce. This is a scenic driving tour where the guide will pull off at varied locations to provide an interpretive experience of the wilderness section of the park. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Bighorn Sheep that fequent this area.

Once through the park, you will follow your guide to a canyon located in-between Zion and Bryce. This canyon is a beautiful slot canyon called The Huntress or also known as Diana’s Throne.

Canyoneering is unique to the southern Utah desert because of our sprawling sandstone landscape. This tour will take you through the slot canyon by way of hiking, scrambling, and rappelling. Canyoneering is great for the whole family and your local experienced guide will cater the experience to the abilities of the group. We focus on customizing the experience so that you can have as advanced or easy an adventure as you are ready for.

After the tour, you will continue north towards Bryce Canyon National Park. Make sure to stop by Archie's Food to Die For, a local food truck in Orderville Utah.

Then take the remainder of the afternoon to travel to your next overnight destination.

Day 4: Departure and Tour of Bryce
Enjoy a morning coffee on your way to meet your Zion Guide Hub guide for your last adventure. For the last day of this trip, you get to “choose your own adventure”. Whether you want a scenic driving tour of Bryce Canyon, a Scenic Hiking tour of some of the trails through the canyon, or a Cycling Tour focusing on seeing the scenery by bicycle.

All of these tour options offer a unique and beautiful way to explore Bryce. Each of these tours will provide an interpretive experience of the park covering the history and geology.

After the tour take the afternoon to travel to your next destination, whether you are continuing north to Capitol Reef, Arches, or Canyonlands or back to Las Vegas for the flight home.
