Zion National Park Itinerary

We recommend a minimum of 3 days in the Zion area. With the prominent hikes in the park, the unique local adventures, and the endless views, anything less than three (3) days can leave you wanting more. This Zion National Park itinerary will help you make the most of your visit.

Day 1: Arrival
Early afternoon arrival, lunch at Cafe Solei. Meet at Zion Guide Hub for an afternoon, half-day scenic Zion Hiking Tour.

For this tour, you hike into Zion Canyon and explore some of the moderate/easy hikes. This tour gives you an opportunity to be acquainted with the park, how it works and how to efficiently explore. This tour also provides an interpretive experience from the guide so you can learn the history and geology of the park.

Enjoy dinner at the local watering hole, the Bit & Spur.

Day 2:
Early morning wake up, stop by Deep Creek Coffee Company for your favorite morning caffeinated beverage, and then meet at Zion Guide Hub for a full-day Zion Narrows Tour.

For this tour, you will ride the Zion Canyon shuttle bus to the Temple of Siewava trailhead. Your expert, a safety-certified guide will spend the day sharing the details of how the Narrows was formed, what we can do to help keep it in optimal condition and the best route to take to keep from getting completely soaked. The Narrows is one of the top 10 scenic hikes in the world and offers a unique experience of using the river as the trail. Full disclosure, this hike does not require a guide and can be self-guided however if you prioritize education, added safety, and connecting with a local, we recommend a guided tour.

After the tour, enjoy dinner at a local favorite, Whiptail Grill.

Day 3: Departure
Enjoy a morning coffee on your way to meet at Zion Guide Hub for your last adventure. We save the best for last on this morning, half-day Zion Canyoneering Tour.

Canyoneering is unique to the southern Utah desert because of our sprawling sandstone landscape. This tour will take you through a slot canyon by way of hiking, scrambling, and rappelling. Canyoneering is great for the whole family and our local experienced guide will cater the experience to the abilities of the group. We focus on customizing the experience so that you can have as advanced or easy an adventure as you are ready for.

After the tour satiate your appetite with a (rather large) meal from Oscars Cafe.

Then take the afternoon to travel to your next destination, whether it is Bryce Canyon for a continued adventure or Las Vegas for the flight home.
